Visit Glendeer Pet Farm for a fun, family day out it’s animal interaction at its’ best! If you’re looking for somewhere to bring the kids for a day out, why not take them to Glendeer Pet Farm, 5 miles west of Athlone, off exit 13

Summer Season

Open from 15th March to the 28th of September, please note we are closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until May 15th.

Enjoy a family outing where you can feed and pet the animals, play in the large outdoor play area and take a walk around our Nature walk with Fairy Trail.

Summer opening times:

From March 15th to Sept 28th, we are closed Tues, Wed and Thurs until May 15th (excluding Easter Mid Term): Mon to Sat 11am to 6pm and Sun 12pm to 6pm.
NB: The farm is closed from the 29th Sept 2025.

If you enjoy the farm and think that you would like to visit again then maybe the season ticket is for you!
Adults €50 and Children €50, it is valid for the summer season for unlimited entry. 
2 adults and 2 children €200
(3rd child or more are €25 each)

(March 15th to the 28th Sept) so you can visit as often as you like. 

Spring and summer are a great time to see all the new babies that have been born here at the farm and there will be new ones arriving throughout the season. Get up close to the smaller animals such as the tiny chicks, guinea pigs and kid goats…it’s animal interaction at its’ BEST!

Enjoy the large play area with zip wire, double obstacle course, maze and the Jumbo Tube slide. And don’t forget to visit the fairies on the Fairy Trail, see if you can count all the fairy doors and maybe even catch a glimpse of a fairy!

Fun getaway

Lots of cute animals, includes food for them. The facility is amazing. The animals are well cared for with very clean areas. Great access to touch and feed the animals. I was very excited and I will return every chance I get.

Best pet farm ever!!!!

Without a doubt this is the best pet farm we have ever visited.The children 2,8 and 10 had a great time.A great selection of animals and they're well looked after.The farm is well layed out and maintained.The play area is amazing.A bit of advice,bring a picnic.The children will love it so much you may be there a while.

The staff were very helpful

Spent a full day here Saturday, would highly recommend. The kids (aged between 6 and 12) all enjoyed themselves from the minute we arrived. Great set up with plenty of hands on experience with the animals. The staff were very helpful. Large outdoor play area and picnic area. A lot more animals than expected too. Even after spending the while day there the kids could've stayed longer and all want to go back again.
